Pink Lily & Fitzroy Sands Quarries – Rockhampton
Heidelberg Materials is chasing a reliable, hands-on operator to join the crew at our Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries.
About the Role:
- The position is full-time with overtime as required based in Rockhampton.
- The successful applicant must be able to work both independent and part of the sand production operation team.
You’ll be on the tools operating:
- Sand Dredgers
- Front end loaders
- Fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants
- Excavators
- Other general quarry gear
Background and Experience required:
- Front End Loader ticket
- Excavator ticket
- Dredge operations including monitoring operational efficiencies to maximize and achieve daily production targets
- Experience with mobile and fixed plant pre-starts, fault finding and basic maintenance
- Solid safety mindset and ability to spot hazards
- Good communication skills and willingness to speak up in site meetings
- HR truck licence (highly regarded, but not essential)
- Forklift ticket (highly regarded, but not essential)
