The Associate works within Investment Operations, building deep functional expertise. The role provides operational support across loan administration, deal documentation, and system and data management and controls, and requires a strong data mindset and data capability to maintain accurate, high-quality data across the investment lifecycle.
You own the day-to-day execution of loan operations, deal documentation, system and data management and Allvue (3rd party admin system) data quality for assigned deals as set out below, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, integrity and analysis across the deal lifecycle. You are the accountable point of contact for each transaction in your remit.
Role & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Loan Operations Support
• Support trade settlement, drawdowns, repayments and interest calculations for assigned deals
• Process loan cash flows accurately and on time under VP supervision
• Maintain loan position records and support reconciliation activities
Deal Documentation

• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurately filed and audit-ready
• Support new deal onboarding with documentation review and filing
Counterparty Relationship Management
• Manage day-to-day counterparty interactions across Loan Agents, custodians and other deal-level external parties
• Maintain counterparty contact details, escalation paths and service expectations
• Support the Vice President, Investment Operations on counterparty service issues; escalate where service standards slip
Investment Lifecycle Management

System & Data Management
• Weekly deal data reconciliations between the 17Capital systems and Agent / Outsourced administrator systems (e.g. Allvue).
• Perform Agent and third-party administrator data oversight and maintain data quality
• Flag data discrepancies and support resolution
Deal Data
• Supporting the quarterly valuations process by maintaining cash flow and all other data required for valuation preparation for those deals assigned to you on the Deal Ownership register
• Deal Onboarding — data capture to start at the point of deal kick-off meetings ahead of execution and to be finalised within the agreed timetable post deal close. This includes set-up of deal models for ongoing calculation of loan positions, interest repayments and valuation
Controls
• Follow documented procedures and evidence control execution
• Maintain control checklists for assigned areas
• Escalate control gaps or exceptions promptly to line manager

• Follow documented workflows, procedures and control checklists — evidence execution of controls on a timely basis
• Maintain all operational trackers and logs on a daily basis and communicate status upward to the VP weekly — transparency of progress and outstanding items is expected
