Part Time | Permanent | 20 hours per week

Are you passionate about your community and delivering great customer service? We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Customer Services Officer to join our Reefton team.
Reefton Visitor Service Centre is open Monday to Saturday for around 6 months, Monday to Sunday, approximately 6 months (summer/warmer period)

What Will You Do? | Ka aha koe?
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide professional, helpful and efficient service to internal and external customers
  • Handle enquiries in person, over the phone and via email
  • Support council services such as dog registrations, rates enquiries, cashiering and processing payments
  • Assist with library activities, shelving, ICT sessions and community events
  • Share local knowledge and promoting Reefton and the wider Buller region to visitors
  • Assist with daily facility presentation and supporting Reefton Theatre activities where required
  • Work collaboratively with Council teams, including the Westport Customer Services team

We are looking for someone with:

  • The ability to work rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday
  • A positive, approachable and customer-focused attitude
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence with computers and willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to work rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday
  • A team player who can adapt to change and contribute to a supportive work environment

Previous experience in customer service, administration or library work is an advantage, but what matters most is your commitment to providing exceptional service.
