About the role

Inflection is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own Inflection’s vertically integrated spacecraft avionics architecture and power system. This role reports directly to the CTO. This is a full-time, onsite role based out of Inflection’s HQ in Los Angeles, CA.

What you'll do

• Own spacecraft avionics and power architecture, from requirements through flight hardware fabrication and test.
• Design, build, and test PCBAs for power conversion, power distribution, computing, and communications functions.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors.
• Lead board bring-up, electronic assembly integration, and environmental testing; diagnose and resolve hardware anomalies as they arise.
• Support on-orbit spacecraft operations.
• Design for reliable, repeatable production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience delivering complex hardware.
• Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, power electronics, and embedded interfaces.
• Experience with spacecraft power systems including energy storage and power generation.
• Hands-on board bring-up and debugging skills, with demonstrated ownership from design through qualification and delivery of flight-ready hardware.
• The ability to get hands-on, and an appetite to learn new things.
