WAREHOUSE STAFF

Part Time – Hourly

Non-benefitted 

The WAREHOUSE STAFF supports event operations through hands-on tasks related to event preparation, equipment pulls, and maintenance of Chowgirls warehouse inventory and its spaces, facilities, and vehicles as directed. The Warehouse Staff reports to the Warehouse Manager.


EQUIPMENT & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain a clear understanding of warehouse inventory locations and organization systems
  • Interpret and apply details from Event Worksheets, Timelines, and Warehouse Task Lists to support event execution
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all warehouse areas
  • Handle all equipment with care to maintain condition and longevity
  • Accurately return clean equipment to designated storage locations post-event
  • Monitor and dispose of waste, compost, and recycling as needed
  • Clean and polish serviceware in preparation for events
  • Receive and verify incoming operational deliveries; sign off as appropriate
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies, damages, or breakages to the Warehouse Manager promptly
  • Understand equipment needs for each event and assist in preparing complete and accurate pulls
  • Inspect all outgoing equipment for functionality and presentation quality


EVENT SUPPORT

  • Assist with equipment load-outs and returns as scheduled
  • Pick up and return event rentals, ensuring accurate counts during both pick-up and drop-off
  • Reset event kits to standard par levels following events
  • Support other departments and cross-functional tasks as directed


VEHICLE & FACILITY MAINTENANCE

  • Drive, refuel, and clean company vehicles as assigned
  • Assist with equipment pre-drops and pickups at event sites
  • Participate in regular inventory counts of equipment and disposable supplies
  • Serve as Headquarters MOD (Manager on Duty) as scheduled by the Warehouse Manager
  • Ability and willingness to obtain DOT certification, if required, to operate certain company vehicles


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge and experience in events and/or service
  • Ability to multi-task and complete a task list with minimal direction
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that may include early morning shifts (as early as 4:00 AM), evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
  • Ability to see larger scope of duties/big picture
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, use ladders, and be on your feet for 8 hours at a time

  • Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through Slack
  • Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings
  • Respond to internal and external communications within 12 hours
  • Present a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clients
  • Facilitate information flows throughout workplace
  • Maintain availability for communication by phone, Slack, and email

  • Keep all Chowgirls information confidential, including internal documents, policies, procedures, recipes, and customer/venue/vendor information
  • Always promote Chowgirls in a positive light at the office and in the community
  • Present a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times when representing Chowgirls on social media and at all events
