Product Engineer

GrainPro Support and Production is currently recruiting for the position of Product Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Design and development of new technologies and/or improvement of existing technologies in accordance with required design concepts and protocols using relevant standards (such as ISO, ASTM and others).
• Write technical/test evaluation report.
• Responsible for the integrity of design data/information (from design concept to commercial products).
• Continuously learn and keep abreast with technology developments, knowledge and information, and expertise for GrainPro product development and innovations.
• Support the department /company mission, vision, policies, objectives and targets.
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
• Assist in providing technical assistance to other departments by training ‘key staff.
• Creation and/or revision/updating of GrainPro product documents such as Product Information Sheet, Bill of Materials, Material Specification, Engineering Forms, Drawings and other Engineering Documents in conformance to ISO and GrainPro standard process and format.
• Perform initial Product Verification report on the first production run.
• Establish and maintain the Engineering documents filing system.
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
• Assist in the preparation of technical presentation demonstrating how GrainPro products fit customer needs.
• Maintain strong liaise with Product Management, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Accounting and QA department for product improvement and delivery.
• Conforms to Product Innovation processes and general company policy.
• Ensures that work performed conforms to the quality standard set by GrainPro and must be aware of the implication of non-conformance.
• Perform other official duties and responsibilities that maybe assigned by Engineering Manager.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Creative, innovative with the ability to ‘think outside the box’, proactive orientation and positive attitude toward professional development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, licensed is an advantage.
• Work experience in product development is an advantage.
• Can work and travel independently and able to make sound decisions on site.
• Has the propensity to learn new things related to the job.
• Dynamic and Team player
• A strong ethical background and proven business development experience in related industries are a must.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability and readiness to travel worldwide.
• Readiness to stay in the field for prolonged period, typically 2-3 weeks per trip.
• Ability to manage in the field independently.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
