Requirements

What You will Do

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s development and independence.
• Maintain active supervision and comply with all health, safety, and DCF licensing requirements.
• Implement curriculum that supports children’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, & language development using developmentally appropriate & and inclusive practices.
• Build respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues through professional communication, confidentiality and teamwork and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Demonstrate Encompass values and commitment to the agency mission.
• Use classroom technology to support accurate records, communication, documentation, assessment, & program requirements.
• Uphold Encompass policies, Wisconsin DCF licensing regulations, and NAEYC Professional Standards & Code of Ethical Conduct.
• Maintain dependable attendance, punctuality, & scheduling flexibility to support classroom operations & required teacher-to-child ratios.
• Complete required background checks and meet applicable regulatory and employment requirements.

Who We are Looking For

Assistant Teachers: $15.01–$18.01 per hour

• High School Diploma/GED
• Completion of required foundational early childhood education courses.
• Early Childhood Educational courses and/or credits 
• Level 3 on the Registry

Lead Teachers: $18.01–$20.01 per hour 

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD), Elementary Education (ELEd), Early Childhood (EC), Special Education (Spec Ed).
• Associate degree in a related field with at least 30 credits in ECE.
• OR   
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD), Elementary Education (ELEd), Early Childhood (EC), Special Education (Spec Ed).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 36 credits in ECE.
