Founding Product Manager

BerlinFull TimePosted Sep 10, 2026

About the Role

This is a founding product role at a small, fast-moving team building software and AI tools for the skilled trades industry. You will own product direction end-to-end, working directly with engineering to ship features that make a real difference for real businesses. It is an opportunity to shape how product work is done from the ground up at an early-stage company.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full product lifecycle, from uncovering user problems to defining solutions and shipping them.

  • Translate company goals into clear product priorities and well-reasoned tradeoffs.

  • Work closely with engineering to scope, design, and ship features quickly.

  • Make product decisions with incomplete information and course-correct as needed.

  • Develop a deep understanding of users, their workflows, and real-world constraints.

  • Bring clarity to the team on what is being built, why, and what done looks like.

  • Help define and evolve how product work scales as the company grows.

  • Operate in a high-velocity, low-ceremony environment with direct feedback and no management layers.

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine end-to-end product management experience with a track record of shipping, ideally gained at an early-stage startup.

  • Native or C1-level German (spoken and written); fluent English for internal communication.

  • AI-native mindset with hands-on experience applying AI tools and AI-first product patterns in product development.

  • Strong technical understanding and comfort scoping and designing features directly with engineers.

  • Sharp product taste and close attention to UX details.

  • High agency: you take ownership, push things forward, and do not wait for permission.

  • Comfortable making decisions under ambiguity and iterating fast when wrong.

  • Experience in fast-paced, early-stage environments; candidates whose background is primarily post-Series B or corporate are unlikely to be a strong fit.

  • Side projects or independently built products are a strong plus.
