AmsterdamFull TimePosted Sep 5, 2026

About the Role

This is the execution-focused half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at an early-stage fintech company building digital identity and onboarding infrastructure. You are the technical bridge between customers and the product team, owning implementation success from day one and feeding real-world customer signals back into how the product evolves.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with customers to scope requirements early and set implementations up for long-term success.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues in production environments and guide customers toward scalable solutions.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and resolve friction in implementation flows.

  • Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.

What We're Looking For

  • 4 to 5 or more years of relevant experience in field engineering, solutions engineering, technical implementation, or similar customer-facing technical roles.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in production environments.

  • Proficiency with modern web stacks and APIs, including REST, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.

  • Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.

  • Comfort with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling for integrations.

  • Experience scoping technical requirements and designing implementation approaches collaboratively with customers.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing customer-facing documentation and API guides.

  • Domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, regulated onboarding, or a closely related compliance area is the strongest signal for this role.

  • A background as a Product Owner or Manager in fintech who ran onboarding or compliance workflows is also actively considered.

  • Familiarity with containerization tools, message queues, or cloud platforms is a plus.

  • Must be available to work within European timezones.
