Grounds Crew/Maintenance

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for variety of course maintenance duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mowing, trim work
• Raking bunker
• Shoveling, raking
• Course clean-up and preparation
• Changing cups and tee markers
• Basic tree trimming and maintenance
• Cleaning equipment
• Laying sod
• Filling and seeding divots and worn areas
• Hand watering
• Operating power equipment – small hand tools
• Operating power equipment – large self-propelled equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience on a golf course maintenance crew is desirable
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Possess decision-making, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to operate golf maintenance equipment
• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Park District

Hours:

Varied from 6:30am - 2:30pm

Rate:

$15-$17.30/hour
