Social Media Marketing and Video Coordinator
Job Description:
Join one of the largest privately owned real estate companies in North America. We’re hiring a Social Media and Video Content Marketing Coordinator — this is not a traditional digital marketing coordinator role. This is a hands-on production role: you’ll be shooting, editing, and publishing video and photo content for TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms on a near-daily basis, with a strong eye for trends, pacing, and what actually performs. This role blends hands-on creative production (Premiere, Lightroom, AI tools) with the marketing operations that keep a team moving — content calendars, work orders, and vendor coordination.
If your background is website builds, brochure design, or brand/logo work, this isn’t the right fit — we need someone who lives in Premiere and Lightroom, not someone who dabbles in Canva.
Alongside the creative work, you’ll also keep our monthly content calendar, vendors, and budgets on track — but production comes first, and operations support it.
Please include a link to your reel, portfolio, or TikTok/Instagram content you’ve personally shot and edited when you apply. Applications without creative samples will not be considered.
For over half a century, we’ve been building communities for people to live, work, and play — spanning real estate development and construction, commercial property ownership and management, hospitality, and a growing presence in venture capital and technology. Our expertise reaches across major North American cities including Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Phoenix, Toronto, and Vancouver. To date, we’ve developed, built, and now own or manage well over 50 million square feet of residential, office, retail, and industrial space — including more than 15,000 homes and 11,200 rental apartments — with another 28 million square feet underway across our markets. Employing thousands of people across North America, Onni continues to diversify beyond our real estate roots, including through Grey Owl, our technology company delivering managed IT, AI-driven security, and smart building solutions to commercial properties across North America.
In 2009, Onni entered the hospitality space with Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, and our portfolio has since grown to various hotels in Vancouver, Chicago, and Seattle, with plans to add and grow more. We’ve also expanded into dining, with restaurant concepts including Capo & The Spritz and Solette in Vancouver and Chicago, Fora in Chicago’s Fulton Market, and Dialtone, our coffee-by-day, wine-by-night concept.
At Onni, you’ll learn from experienced professionals across every part of our business, take on real responsibility early, and have clear room to grow — whether your path is in commercial real estate, hospitality, or the technology and innovation shaping what comes next.
Perks & Benefits:
Onni operates a full-time, work-from-the-office culture — vibrant, dynamic, and fun, with an open floor plan built on our belief in the strength of in-person interaction and collaboration. Employees also enjoy three days a month of work-from-home flexibility, along with an exciting calendar of employee events throughout the year — including quarterly team-building events, Pemberton trips, summer boating days, sports day, an annual holiday party, watch parties for major sporting events like FIFA and the Olympics, and other seasonal celebrations throughout the year, plus early office closures before statutory holidays and weekends, along with regular office events like food trucks and local favorites, and the following perks and benefits::
- Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Benefits include company-paid extended health care, dental care, vision care, life insurance, critical illness, and critical life insurance.
- Annual education allowance.
- Generous referral program.
- Fun and collaborative company culture with lots of team-building events.
- Local discounts at restaurants, clothing stores, personal training, and more.
- Free access to a fully equipped gym.
- Friends and Family rates for hospitality brands.
What You Will Do
Video & Social Content Creation
- Shoot, edit, and publish video content for TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms, with a strong command of trending audio, formats, and pacing, and the judgment to apply them on-brand.
- Own the full post-production workflow in Adobe Premiere Pro: multi-track editing, color correction, transitions, effects, titling, audio mixing, and export for social and web delivery.
- Plan and structure shoots — shot lists, sequencing, and coverage — and storyboard concepts from idea through call sheet.
- Stay ahead of social trends and bring fresh, scroll-stopping content ideas to the table rather than waiting for direction.
Photography & Image Editing
- Shoot and edit photo content in Adobe Lightroom — retouching, color grading, exposure and tone correction, and consistent visual treatment across shoots.
AI-Assisted Content Production
- Use AI tools like Higgsfield to supplement or prototype creative concepts and generate assets for production.
- Virtually stage units using AI — furnishing and dressing empty suites digitally to produce market-ready lifestyle imagery without a physical staging build or photo shoot.
Marketing Operations (Supporting the Production Work)
- Build and maintain the monthly content calendar in Asana — shoot schedules, deliverable timelines, task assignment, and cross-team visibility.
- Prepare monthly work orders and purchase orders for marketing vendors, tracking scope and spend.
- Maintain disciplined asset file management — naming conventions, folder structure, versioning, and archiving.
What You Will Bring
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating real, hands-on video editing and social content creation — this is the most important qualification for this role.
- Strong working knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and current social trends, formats, and pacing for hospitality or consumer brands.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Lightroom.
- Comfort with generative AI tools for photo, video, and copy workflows (e.g., Higgsfield, ChatGPT-style tools).
- A post-secondary diploma or degree (Marketing or Business an asset, not required).
- Superior writing and editing skills, with the judgment to refine AI-generated content before it goes out.
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle to facilitate visits to Onni’s hospitality properties across the Vancouver area.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop.
- Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, or web application processes.
- Experience with CRM software, particularly Yardi.
- Strong MS Office proficiency.
