Dolphin Station Site Leader

Join us for the 2026-2027 school year! This position requires the employee to implement a safe and fun before and after school environment for children at the Oak Brook Park District's Family Recreation Center. Implement daily activities for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, communicate with participant’s parents, and ensure the safety and satisfaction of program participants.


Hours

This role would work anywhere from 3-20 hours per week. The hours of the program are Monday-Friday 6:45am-8:25 am and 3:00 pm-6:15 pm following the Butler School District 53 calendar. Dolphin Station begins August 20.


Education, Experience, and Training

  • High School Diploma
  • CPR and AED certification or willing to obtain
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Valid Illinois State Driver's License (Class D)


Essential Job Duties 

  • Attend training programs required for the position.
  • Take attendance twice daily.
  • Keep track of all participants as they rotate through the different areas during the program.
  • Communicate with participant’s parents and other staff in a professional and effective manner on a daily basis.
  • Participate in all activities with participants.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are in good working condition and kept in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Administer the program in accordance with the adopted guidelines, policies, and procedures set forth by the District.
  • Regularly communicate with parents and students.
  • Other duties as assigned by Dolphin Station Site Supervisor, Recreation Manager, Superintendent of Recreation or Executive Director.
  • Support the District’s safety initiative including adhering to policies and procedures, performing your job in a safe manner, attending required training, seeking additional training as needed, promptly reporting accidents/incidents, and proactively addressing hazards in the workplace.
