School of Business Profile 

The School of Business at the American International University in Kuwait comprises three departments: Accounting, Finance, and Management. The school offers a BSc in Accounting, a BSc in Business Administration, and a BSc in Finance. The school is committed to providing excellence in education through highly qualified faculty members with extensive backgrounds and experience.” 

 

Position Summary

The School of Business invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Accounting and Finance at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching Accounting and Finance, maintain an active research and/or creative practice profile, and engage with contemporary technologies and methodologies. The appointee will contribute to undergraduate education, curriculum development, student mentorship, and institutional service within a collaborative and multicultural academic environment.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting and Finance. 

• Develop innovative, technology-enhanced curricula using AI tools and interactive learning platforms. 

• Update course content to align with industry standards and accreditation requirements. 

• Supervise senior projects and provide academic advising, mentoring, and student support. 
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. 

• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic community. 

 

Required Qualifications 

• PhD in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field. 

• Minimum 5 years of university teaching experience, with demonstrated excellence in Accounting and/or Finance. 
• Strong academic research and/or professional industry expertise in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business discipline. 
• Proficiency in industry-standard financial and accounting technologies, such as Bloomberg and other relevant software. 

• Strong English communication, advising, mentoring, and student-engagement skills. 

• Ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural academic environments. 

• Relevant industry experience and professional engagement in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teaching and research. 

• Ability to integrate diverse cultural and ethical perspectives into the curriculum. 

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, multicultural academic environment that engages a diverse student body. 

• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the university.
