Title: Senior Power Market Analyst
This Senior Power Market Analyst supports critical investment, acquisition, development, and commercialization decisions across East Point Energy's utility-scale energy storage portfolio. This role combines power market analytics, quantitative modeling, market intelligence, and strategic thinking to identify opportunities and maximize project value. The successful candidate will analyze energy, capacity, and ancillary service markets; assess regional market dynamics; evaluate storage revenue opportunities; and support investment decisions across East Point's project portfolio. The position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and will collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties.
We anticipate hiring for this role at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level. Final title, career level, and compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and overall fit for the role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform meticulous data synthesis and analysis to provide insightful, data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders
- Conduct market research to identify new renewable energy deployment pathways and opportunities
- Leverage results of real-time asset performance to inform future investment opportunities
- Support the development and management of financial models for renewable energy assets using various financing structures
- Manage relationships and engagements with third party consultants who deliver market and ad hoc analyses
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate statistical trends in complex data sets using Python, R, Microsoft Power BI, or other data analysis tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong research skills
- Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of technical understanding - written, verbal, and non-verbal

Education & Experience:
- 4-year university degree: Bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, business, finance, or related quantitative field.
- Candidates may range from early-career analysts through experienced market professionals. Final title, scope, and compensation will reflect experience, expertise, and demonstrated capabilities.
Travel & Time Commitment:
- Limited travel related to industry conferences and company events
- This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $108,000 - $130,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. Final title and compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
