We’re looking for a Delivery Dispatcher to join our Christchurch team.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation - checking, loading and dispatching freight, supporting drivers and keeping linehaul moving safely and on time.

Why this role matters.

You’ll help make sure freight gets to the right place, in the right condition, and on time. From checking manifests and loading freight to supporting driver allocation and dispatch, you'll play a key role in keeping the operation moving.

What you'll be doing.

• Receive, check, load and unload local and linehaul freight.
• Check manifests and report damaged or incorrect freight.
• Load and secure freight correctly for linehaul.
• Support driver allocation, pick slips and dispatch documentation.
• Complete Dangerous Goods Load Plans.
• Help ensure linehaul departures are on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area.
• Follow Mainstream’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role.

• Current OSH Forklift Certificate and experience.
• Dangerous Goods (DG) handling experience.
• Knowledge of the Truck Loading Code.
• Good communication, organisation and paperwork skills.
• Reliable, physically fit and comfortable working in a busy freight environment.
• A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
