DESCRIPTION


The IT Support Intern is responsible for assisting the IT team in basic tasks, documentation, equipment preparation and initial care, always under supervision.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist with basic Tier 1 technical support under supervision.
  • Receive and document IT support requests in the company's ticketing system.
  • Assist users with basic hardware, software, printer, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
  • Escalate incidents that cannot be resolved using established procedures to the appropriate Help Desk or IT team member.
  • Provide professional and courteous support to employees.
  • Install approved software and applications under supervision
  • Perform basic hardware troubleshooting.
  • Assist with equipment replacements and workstation setup.
  • Verify that equipment is properly configured before delivery to users.
  • Support the installation of required applications for new hires.
  • Assist with preparing computers and peripherals for new employees.
  • Follow established IT onboarding and offboarding checklists and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Record equipment assignments, returns, replacements, and status changes.
  • Assist with equipment labeling and asset tracking.
  • Help organize IT equipment and storage areas.
  • Identify missing or incomplete asset information and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with periodic physical inventory reviews.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting using established procedures and knowledge-base documentation.
  • Follow up on assigned tickets and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist with password reset and account-access issues according to established procedures.


       Note: The position may perform other projects or diverse tasks as requested or assigned.



Qualifications


  • Must be based in Miami - Fort Lauderdale area.  (Adistec doesn't offer relocation assistance for this position)
  • Must be Bilingual (English - Spanish)
  • Advanced student or recent graduate of technical courses (technical degree) in systems, computer science, networks, or telecommunications.
  • Basic Knowledge of hardware, datacenter, ERP systems and basic notion of networking.


Temporary Internship Position


This is a temporary, full-time internship position with an anticipated duration of approximately 6 months. The duration of the assignment may be adjusted based on business needs.


Work Schedule


Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Onsite.
