Transportation Dispatcher

Fort Worth, TexasFull TimePosted Oct 19, 2026

About the Role

HTeaO is expanding rapidly, and our logistics operation is the engine that keeps every store stocked and running smoothly. We’re looking for a highly organized, calm‑under‑pressure Transportation Dispatcher to run the daily movement of our fleet and ensure every store receives exactly what it needs, on time, every time.

This role is the heartbeat of our delivery network—you’ll build routes, support drivers on the road, solve problems in real time, and keep our fleet compliant, safe, and efficient. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and love being the person who keeps the day on track when things get messy, this is your seat.

Schedule: Early starts; occasional evenings; on-call rotation for day/night route coverage

Key Responsibilities

Route Planning & Execution

  • Build, publish, and adjust daily/weekly route plans for day and night delivery runs
  • Assign drivers and equipment to routes; rebalance quickly when volume, weather, or staffing changes
  • Track trucks in real time and communicate ETAs, delays, and issues to store teams

Driver Support & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the first call for drivers on the road—breakdowns, accidents, load issues, access problems
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse teams on load timing, pallet counts, and order cutoffs
  • Manage driver hours to ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations

Fleet Compliance & Maintenance

  • Review ELD logs and DVIRs daily; route defects to maintenance and hold units out of service until resolved
  • Schedule preventive maintenance around route needs to minimize downtime

Delivery Quality & Reporting

  • Log delivery exceptions (shorts, damages, refusals, late stops) and ensure timely resolution
  • Report weekly on on-time delivery performance, miles, stops per route, and cost-per-stop
  • Identify routing improvements that reduce miles, improve efficiency, and optimize fleet utilization

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of dispatching experience for a private fleet or carrier (food/beverage/route-based preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HOS, ELDs, and DVIRs
  • Hands-on experience with routing/TMS and fleet tracking software
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Calm, decisive problem-solver who thrives when the day gets chaotic
  • Clear, direct communicator with drivers, warehouse teams, and store operators

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-stop retail delivery or franchise networks
  • Class A CDL or prior driving experience
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or WMS platforms

What Success Looks Like

  • Routes run smoothly with minimal disruptions and fast recovery when issues arise
  • Drivers feel supported, informed, and confident on the road
  • Stores receive accurate, on-time deliveries across all day and night routes
  • Fleet compliance is tight—no HOS overages, clean logs, timely maintenance
  • Routing improvements reduce miles, touches, and cost-per-stop
