Fullstack Engineer

About the role:

The Fullstack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling the core web applications and cloud services for Safetrust's secure access and identity products, using the Spring Framework (Java) on the backend and ReactJS on the frontend. This position plays a key role in the product engineering team, ensuring features are delivered end-to-end with quality and speed.

This role focuses on execution across the full stack and collaboration with product, QA, and DevOps, and contributes to Safetrust's continued growth by scaling the web platform that powers our access and identity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable features across the entire application stack — Spring on the backend and ReactJS on the frontend.
• Architect, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software.
• Implement secure and efficient RESTful APIs for data exchange between frontend and backend.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices: coding standards, tools, languages, and design.
• Collaborate with local and remote cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps).
• Interpret requirements and convert them into software modules with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and ReactJS.
• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and backend services supporting Safetrust's identity and access management platform.
• Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and data access layers for high-performance applications.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop reusable application components, shared libraries, and APIs that improve engineering efficiency across multiple products.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions for new products and platform enhancements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established coding standards and secure development practices.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve product quality and release confidence.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to improve code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-hosted applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while continuously improving application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Partner with QA, Hardware, Embedded, AI, and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver integrated product capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and software engineering best practices that improve Safetrust's products and development processes.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in full-stack web application development (Middle level).
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Java/JEE technology stack, and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
• Solid experience building modern frontend applications with ReactJS.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Good knowledge of SQL — MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and source control (Git).
• Experience with web/application servers and containers (Tomcat, Docker, or similar).

Nice to Have / Preferred

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of high-level protocols and integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, MQTT).
• Experience designing secure software systems or working with security protocols.
• Interest in IoT device integration or embedded systems.
