JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours), 12-Month Union Position
LOCATION: Lyon County - Marshall, MN

Help families to create a nurturing environment where children grow, learn and thrive. As a Head Start Home Visitor, you'll spark curiosity, build school readiness, and empower families to support their child's success. Make a lasting impact - one child, one family, one community at a time!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Create Mentoring Relationships: Observe and evaluate infant and toddler's progress to prepare the children for school
• Facilitate Family Partnerships: Working with families to set and reach their goals while providing parenting education.
• Track Progress: Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Encourage Family Involvement: Partner with parents to inspire active participation of the children.
• Integrate Wellness: Complete educational and health screenings, and rescreens, within the Head Start Performance Standards.
• Promote the program: Assist with recruitment efforts to connect more families to the Head Start program.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills - you're great at connecting with others.
• Computer-savvy with solid organizational skills.
• A team player to build trusting relationships with families.
• Knowledgeable about child development and eager to apply best practices.
• Problem-solving comes easily, and you handle challenges with grace.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Current Home Visiting CDA, OR
• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Services or related degree.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or the willingness to obtain within 90 days).
