Responsibilities
- Work closely with Development, Support and DevOps teams to efficiently resolve any issues affecting Customers of our Signals Cloud and OnPrem software products

- Own CI/CD and repository governance: workflow hardening, branch protection, required status checks, secure release automation

- Own system reliability and the end-to-end monitoring ecosystem for a large-scale data platform

Design, build, and operate an automated alert-triage system that deduplicates, routes, and auto-classifies operational alerts, backed by a searchable knowledge base of known failure modes

Manage monitoring infrastructure as code (Terraform), keeping alert behavior consistent across dev/qa/prod environments

- Produce design documents, runbooks, and incident/lessons-learned knowledge; mentor teams on on-call best practices

Work Areas
- Become a subject matter expert for our Signals Data Factory features and capabilities, both SaaS and On Prem

- Craft tooling and application code that’s well-documented, testable and reusable, using various backend technologies (Python, Node, Kotlin, Scala)

- Work with AWS services and cloud technologies, Jenkins and git workflows

- Migrate hand-configured monitor rules into declarative, version-controlled definitions with a soak-and-cutover rollout process

- Remediate CI flakiness, upgrade runner tooling, and enforce engineering guardrails across many repositories

- Handle production incidents via a ticketed workflow, from triage through root-cause fix and prevention

- Continuously tune alerting and monitoring quality: suppress noise, consolidate duplicate rules, and validate parity before routing changes

Required Skills
- SRE practices: on-call, incident triage, runbooks, canary/soak-style safe rollouts, blameless postmortems

- GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD systems, plus repository and release governance

Experience leveraging AI-assisted development and code-review tooling to boost delivery quality

- Data-platform familiarity: large-scale pipelines, table/store design under concurrent access

- Strong AWS experience: SQS, EMR/Spark, RDS, IAM least privilege, Secrets Manager/SSM, Lambda, DynamoDB

- Terraform / infrastructure-as-code at scale, including module design and multi-environment promotion

- Deep monitoring/observability tooling experience (e.g., Sumo Logic, Instana, Datadog, or similar) and alert-design expertise

- Programming across multiple languages a plus: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Scala or Spark, plus shell scripting
