About the Opportunity

An established construction and building envelope organization is seeking a Cladding Estimator to join its team in Surrey, British Columbia. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys preparing accurate, competitive project estimates and collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations using architectural and engineering drawings.
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for cladding and façade-related projects.
• Submit bids and monitor project proposals to ensure deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and support cost negotiations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements.
• Utilize estimating and documentation software, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing records, and bid tracking systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of construction industry experience, preferably involving cladding, façade systems, or building envelope projects.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and GoNest or comparable estimating/optimization software.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience estimating cladding, façade, or building envelope systems.

Location and Work Arrangement

• Location: Surrey, British Columbia
• Work Arrangement: Onsite
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Reports To: Cladding Estimating Manager
• Number of Positions: 1
