Head of Accounting & Reporting
Travelfusion is looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Accounting & Reporting to lead our accounting and financial reporting function.
This is a key finance leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for the integrity and quality of Travelfusion's financial accounts, monthly reporting, statutory financial statements and financial compliance across multiple international entities.
The successful candidate will lead the monthly and year-end close processes, coordinate reporting to our shareholder, oversee statutory audits and tax compliance, and ensure that Travelfusion maintains a robust and scalable financial control environment.
Beyond delivering the day-to-day accounting agenda, a major focus of the role will be on strengthening processes, controls and ways of working. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail when required, but who can also step back, identify root causes, challenge existing practices and build sustainable solutions.
You will lead and develop a team of five in two locations. The role reports directly to the CFO and will be an important member of the Finance leadership team.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Accounting & Reporting
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet
- Lead monthly reporting to the shareholder
- Review complex accounting matters and ensure appropriate treatment
- Improve reporting quality, reconciliations and financial discipline
Statutory Reporting, Audit & Compliance
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Manage the external audit process and drive timely resolution of findings
- Coordinate tax, cross-boarder transactions and other financial compliance requirements with internal and external specialists
- Maintain a clear compliance calendar across legal entities
- Monitor accounting and regulatory developments relevant to the business
Controls & Process Improvement
- Strengthen the financial control framework and accounting policies
- Identify control gaps and lead remediation
- Standardise and document key Finance processes
- Improve and automate accounting workflows, systems and reporting
- Support broader Finance transformation initiatives
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach and develop the accounting and reporting team
- Build stronger collaboration across London and Shanghai
- Work closely with FP&A, Operations and other stakeholders
- Translate complex accounting matters into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Support the CFO on ad-hoc financial and transformation topics
Essential Skills & Experience
- Professionally qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent ideally trained in a top 4 firm in UK
- 8+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Strong experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and external audit
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally including IFRS and/or UK GAAP
- Experience working in an international, multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial governance
- Proven experience improving accounting processes and reporting quality
- Strong ERP and finance systems experience
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- Technology, travel, payments, e-commerce or other high-volume transaction businesses
- Big Four or similar professional services background
- Exposure to automation, data analytics or AI-enabled Finance processes
