We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with company policies and employment laws. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and passionate about contributing to a positive and efficient workplace.



Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support talent acquisition efforts, such as collaborating with managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings; recruiting.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researching and proposing competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Craft and post Job Openings on appropriate job boards and social media platforms.
  • Interview job applicants about their relevant experience, skills, and education.
  • Inform applicants about job details, such as duties, benefits, and working conditions.
  • Check candidate’s professional references and verify employment.
  • Create Offer Letters and facilitate employment negotiations.
  • Hire and onboard new employees.
  • Perform or assist with new-hire orientation.
  • Document Job Descriptions, including pay range, duties and responsibilities, skills, experience and education and any other requirements for new positions.
  • Maintain “talent pools” of applicants with skills/experience Diversified Construction & Design is frequently looking to hire.
  • Keep employment records up to date and process paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Support the Training department with ensuring all employees maintain their certifications and training requirements.
  • Guide employees through human resources procedures and answer questions about the organization’s policies.
    • As a backup (cross-trained member of the HR Department), process payroll, administer benefits, and handle associated questions or issues.

    Additional Responsibilities as a Member of the HR Team:

    • Potentially participate in disciplinary discussions and investigation; may be required to administer tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations or investigating allegations of misconduct.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; continuously review policies and evaluate procedures and protocol to ensure compliance.
    • Assist in ongoing Performance Management and Employee Engagement processes to create a healthy and efficient work environment.
    • Support marketing efforts such as social media, brochures, digital forums, promotional products, communications, etc.
    • Assist in the coordination and planning of company social and/or team-building events.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in an HR role preferred
    • Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • High level of organization and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
