Student Central Administrative Assistant

Central Church is looking for a highly organized and collaborative administrator for our Student Central team (middle and high school). The Student Central Administrative Assistant will need to have the capability to provide administrative support while working alongside a variety of leaders who are engaging, passionate, fun loving and who want to see Jesus be made known to teenagers. Our team LOVES what we get to do and we want this person to be a part of a dynamic team and ministry that is growing. This person will be a valued member of the Student Central team in fulfilling the call to reach teenagers. 

Time Commitment and Relationship:

  • This is a part-time position (25 hours) that does not qualify for benefits.
  • This position will serve under the supervision of the Student Ministries Pastor.

  • Attendance during the first part of Wednesday night Student Central programming from 6:00-7:30 from September through April.
  • Attendance at other key ministry events for Student Central as needed.
  • A love for the local church and a growing relationship with Jesus.
  • Embrace and embody Central’s vision, core values and staff distinctives.
  • Regular attendance at Central and a genuine commitment to engaging in the church's ministry and mission as part of the broader staff team


Responsibilities:

  • Help with first time family connections (email, letters, phone calls, etc.)
  • Coordination of specific ministry event details (purchasing items, set up, basic coordination of volunteers, etc.)
  • Process volunteer information and background checks.
  • Maintain ministry email by serving as a filter for email communication.
  • Attend student team meetings, and full staff meetings as required.
  • Help to better coordinate Student Central programming with the Operations Team.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Team to ensure website and social media content is up to date and relevant.
  • Hold regular office hours that coincide with ministry staff.
  • Have the capacity to learn to use the church database (Planning Center Online) for information, updating, attendance, creating events, event registrations, training of volunteers, communications, etc.
  • Competent in the use of google applications (docs, sheets, gmail, etc.) and excel spreadsheets.
