Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist (Full-time)
The BEST Group Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for an individual with strong logistics and supply chain experience who can effectively coordinate inbound shipments, outbound exports, and international and domestic relocations while delivering excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Coordinate inbound, outbound, and international and domestic relocation shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and other service providers.
- Prepare and review import/export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with Bermuda Customs and international shipping requirements.
- Arrange packing, crating, consolidation, transportation, cargo handling, and final delivery.
- Monitor shipment milestones, resolve delays and documentation issues, and provide customers with proactive updates.
- Manage cargo claims involving loss, damage, or delays and liaise with insurers, agents, carriers, and service providers to facilitate resolution.
- Review supplier invoices, monitor shipment costs, support accurate billing, and ensure timely file closure.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, global partners, carriers, and suppliers.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, customs regulations, and applicable industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management is required.
- PIPA Awareness and Customs Vetting are required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with relocations, export documentation, customs processes, Bills of Lading, and Air Waybills.
- Diploma or certification in Supply Chain or Logistics will be an advantage.
- Dangerous Goods certification will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
