Are you ready to undertake systems engineering design efforts that expand the frontiers of space exploration?
Lunar Outpost Oceania is seeking a talented Systems Engineering Intern to join our fast-paced, dynamic team.In this role, you will design and develop systems for spacecraft and associated technologies. Your work will contribute to groundbreaking projects in lunar mobility and in-situ resource utilisation.
During this 12 week internship, you will be required to work on a full time basis onsite in Burnley.
Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights for Australia.
Position Description
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will:
- Assist with the development, analysis, and maintenance of system requirements.
- Support the creation and management of interface documentation
- Help maintain requirements between system and subsystems, across hardware and software
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and engineering workshops.
- Contribute to the development, execution, and reporting of verification and validation activities
- Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system designs satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare technical presentations, reports, and engineering review materials.
- Contribute effectively to team objectives and project milestones.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all stages of work.
Preferred Disciplines
Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience studying an engineering discipline at university.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical and software engineers.
- Confidence to participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Australia
