Site Superintendent
The Site Superintendent is responsible for leading the successful field execution of wood-frame multifamily and purpose-built rental projects from mobilization through occupancy. Working closely with the Project Manager and Director of Construction, the Superintendent is accountable for site safety, quality, productivity, schedule performance, and the overall coordination of field operations.
As a hands-on leader, the Superintendent will foster strong relationships with employees, trade partners, consultants, and stakeholders while ensuring construction activities are executed in accordance with project budgets, approved schedules, construction documents, and Third Space values.
This role plays a key part in translating development objectives into efficient, buildable outcomes on site. The successful candidate will bring a strong sense of ownership, proactively identify and resolve challenges, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the ongoing growth of Third Space's construction capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote, lead, and facilitate a strong safety culture on site, ensuring all construction activities are planned and executed in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation and Third Space standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct all field activities by maintaining detailed short-term and look-ahead schedules, managing trade and stakeholder coordination, and proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact safety, quality, productivity, schedule, or budget performance.
- Participate in procurement activities, including scope development, trade selection, subcontractor onboarding, and ongoing trade performance management.
- Support Third Space's commitment to delivering sustainable and net-zero buildings through the implementation of innovative construction materials, systems, and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of construction processes, best practices, and field operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent role.
- Experience delivering 6-storey wood-frame multifamily, mixed-use, or purpose-built rental projects.
- Demonstrated success managing site safety, quality, schedule performance, and trade coordination.
- Strong understanding of wood-frame construction sequencing and building systems.

Salary Range:
Third Space provides a competitive salary and benefits package as well as many other perks and benefits. The Site Superintendent salary range is $145,000 - $175,000 with an annual performance bonus. This role is eligible for health & dental benefits. The exact compensation offered will be dependent upon education & training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
