Junior Merchandiser
At TBCo, we create easy-to-style statement pieces designed to make an impact. As a B Corp-certified brand, we believe in responsible retail, high-quality natural materials and products that empower self-expression across both outfit and home.
As TBCo continues to grow and expand internationally, we’re looking for a commercially minded
Junior Merchandiser to join our Product team. You’ll support stock planning, sales forecasting and commercial performance across our growing Apparel, Sleep and Accessories categories.
The Role
Working closely with our Merchandiser, Buyers and Designers, you’ll help manage products from initial range planning through to end-of-season trading.
Using sales, stock and customer data, you’ll identify commercial opportunities and risks, recommend appropriate actions and help ensure the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right time and in the right markets.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys analysing product performance, managing stock and working collaboratively across multiple categories. It would suit an experienced Assistant Merchandiser ready to take the next step or a Junior Merchandiser looking to broaden their experience within a growing international brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain accurate weekly sales, stock and performance reporting.
- Analyse performance by product, category, channel and market, highlighting key opportunities and risks.
- Support seasonal sales, stock, intake, option and markdown planning.
- Maintain agreed elements of the WSSI and support open-to-buy management.
- Monitor sales, stock levels, availability, sell-through and weeks of cover.
- Make replenishment and stock-allocation recommendations to maximise sales while managing stock risk.
- Monitor intake and deliveries, identifying delays or changes that could affect product availability.
- Support the allocation and movement of stock across UK, US and international markets.
- Assist with pricing and margin analysis to support profitable decision-making.
- Review line-level performance and recommend appropriate trading actions.
- Support markdown and end-of-season planning to improve sell-through and reduce terminal stock.
- Work closely with Buying and Design to support seasonal range planning, range architecture and buy recommendations.
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, purchase order and stock information across relevant systems and trackers.
- Prepare seasonal and weekly trading reports for the Product team and senior leadership.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, B2B, Marketing and Operations.
- Take ownership of agreed areas of responsibility, meeting deadlines and escalating risks or inaccuracies promptly.
- Recommend improvements to merchandising reports and processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and profitability.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Two or more years of experience within a retail merchandising function, ideally at Merchandising Assistant or Junior Merchandiser level.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales and stock data and recommend actions.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and large datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate information.
- An understanding of key merchandising measures, including sales, margin, sell-through, stock cover, intake and stock turn.
- Experience supporting WSSI, open-to-buy, forecasting, range planning or stock-management processes.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of the retail market.
- A proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working collaboratively across different teams and departments.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn, develop and take on greater responsibility as the role grows.
- Experience within fashion or apparel would be advantageous but is not essential.
