Audit Manager - Mandarin Speaking

Key responsibilities:

▪ Work closely with Partners to support the Far East Audit portfolio.
▪ Must be fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written).
▪ Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
▪ Experience working with Chinese-owned businesses and Far East groups.
▪ Managing relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and overseas finance teams.
▪ Coordinating international group audits and overseas component auditors.
▪ Support the growth of our Far East client base.
▪ Strong business development and client relationship skills within the Chinese business community.
▪ Understands client business operations, risks and strategic objectives.
▪ Plan and monitor assignments, work and resources within deadlines and any targets that may be set.
▪ Build relationships with key stakeholders across different time zones and jurisdictions.
▪ Maintain and develop excellent client service and relationships with clients and Partners.
▪ Develop a strong understanding of the business culture and operating environment of Far East clients.
▪ Ensure that files are completed to a high standard for Partner review.
▪ Make recommendations to the Partner and/or RI as part of the file review and continuous improvement.
▪ Liaise with other departments in order to efficiently and effectively complete jobs.
▪ Manage work in progress and billing across the client portfolio, proactively monitoring recoverability and providing regular updates to the Relationship Partner and/or Responsible Individual (RI).
▪ Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery through the introduction of additional audit, tax and advisory services.
▪ Act with honesty, fairness and integrity in all dealings with clients, contacts and colleagues whilst respecting confidentiality and building trust.


Continuing Professional Development:

▪ Meet all requirements of the firm's policy on CPD.
▪ Identify own training needs and ensure these are met through appropriate learning.
▪ Progress own Performance Development Review (PDR) appraisal and seek opportunities to develop new skills.


General:

▪ Take ownership of work/assignments.
▪ Promote and advocate the firm's methodology and apply professional ethics and standards.
▪ Ensure application of professional ethics and standards.


Technical, training & skill levels:

ICAEW / ICAS/ ICAI or ACCA qualified with solid audit and managerial experience 
▪ Strong technical audit, accounting and compliance knowledge.
▪ Ability to maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethical practice.
▪ Maintain professional scepticism.
▪ Ability to identify, assess and manage business and audit risks.
▪ Proven experience managing complex audit engagements from planning to completion.
▪ Strong portfolio management skills.
▪ Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
▪ Understand other client facing service areas: tax, theatre division, business services, payroll
▪ Understanding of financial targets, profitability, recoverability and WIP management.
▪ Demonstrate awareness of relevant financial targets and constraints.
▪ Experience working with international businesses and cross-border client relationships, particularly within the Far East market.
▪ Develop specialist expertise relevant to servicing client portfolio.
▪ Strong business acumen.
▪ Show effective management and leadership style that inspires others.
