· Contribute to the shared AI platform and its specialized applications through software development, data and API integrations, user interfaces, and workflow capabilities.
· Improve AI application behavior through clear instructions, prompt and context design, retrieval, tool use, and workflow logic.
· Develop representative evaluation cases and regression checks; investigate failures and improve accuracy, source grounding, task completion, and reliability using test results and user feedback.
· Compare model and application changes using consistent evaluation methods, considering quality, security, response time, and operating cost.
· Integrate AI applications with approved databases, business systems, APIs, and document repositories while respecting access controls and data handling requirements.
· Use validated data sources and deterministic calculations for numerical results, with AI supporting retrieval, explanation, and communication.
· Apply sound engineering practices, including code review, automated testing, deployment pipelines, logging, monitoring, documentation, and support.
Employee Education and Community

· Gather employee questions, feedback, use cases, and adoption barriers; translate recurring needs into improvements to AI applications, evaluations, and learning resources.
· Partner with subject matter experts and technical colleagues to keep training accurate, useful, and aligned with available capabilities.
· Measure whether education and AI tools are helping employees, using participation, continued engagement, user feedback, and workflow outcomes.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Professional software development experience building and supporting applications.
· Hands-on experience developing applications powered by large language models or other AI techniques.

· Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment about AI limitations, data confidentiality, and when human review is needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience
· Upstream oil and gas experience, especially in production, drilling and completions, reservoir engineering, reserves and economics, or asset evaluation.
· Experience facilitating employee learning or an internal technical community, including workshops, office hours, demonstrations, or champion networks.
· Experience improving AI application quality through evaluation datasets, regression testing, error analysis, and structured comparison of changes.
· Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, model tool use, or multi-step workflows.
· Familiarity with cloud hyper-scalers, Snowflake or industry applications such as ARIES, WellView, or ProCount.
· Experience delivering software or learning programs that achieve measurable improvements in productivity, analysis, decision-making, or employee confidence.
What Success Looks Like
