What does a Procurement & Supply Planning Manager mean at Prinova?

As our Procurement & Supply Planning Manager, you will lead the Procurement and Supply Planning (MRP) functions, ensuring the right raw materials are available at the right time to support production and meet customer demand.

You will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, managing supplier relationships and performance, optimising inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and maintaining continuity of supply across a growing nutritional premix and contract manufacturing business.

Leading a dedicated Procurement and Supply Planning team, you will work closely with our Operations teams in both London and Aylesford to deliver a first-class raw material supply service to the production facility. You will also collaborate with Sales, Finance, Quality, NPD, and Operations to support business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver excellent customer service.

As part of a wider group organisation, you will ensure local operational requirements are met while aligning with group procurement strategies, governance frameworks, and reporting standards. This is a key leadership role with a direct impact on business performance, customer satisfaction, and sustainable profitability.

    What to expect?



    • Lead procurement and supply planning activities to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
    • Build strong supplier partnerships, monitor performance, and manage supply chain risks through effective contingency planning.
    • Own the demand forecasting and MRP process, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Production to align supply with customer demand.
    • Optimise inventory levels, safety stock, and working capital, ensuring excellent service levels while minimising stock write-offs and obsolescence.
    • Lead the monthly supply planning and S&OP processes, providing insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and group governance requirements.
    • Produce and analyse procurement, supply chain, and inventory performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance supply chain resilience, and optimise ERP and planning systems.
    • Lead, develop, and mentor the Procurement and Supply Planning team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


    Does this sound like you?

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning within food ingredients, nutrition, speciality chemicals, or a similar manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of international sourcing, freight forwarding, import/export procedures, customs requirements, and global supply chains.
    • Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
    • Strong forecasting, inventory planning, and supply planning capability.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
    • Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
    • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proactive, results-driven, and focused on continuous improvement.
    • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
    • Comfortable operating within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
