Legal Counsel

Role Overview   The Xoala group is seeking a Legal TeamLead to serve as the primary legal partner to our UK based Group Legal Advisor. You will support the legal needs of a consortium of payment and f intech companies within the Xoala group, working across jurisdictions and subject areas. This is a broad, generalist in-house role covering commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment, disputes, and other group-level legal matters. You will also oversee India office compliance and assist in building and managing a small team of junior legal associates. 
 Key Responsibilities  1. Group Legal Support (Primary Function) 

• Act as the right hand to the Group Legal Advisor, supporting all legal work across multiple group entities. 
• Handle day-to-day legal tasks including contract work, advisory support, legal research, governance, and general in-house matters. 
• Coordinate with external counsel across different jurisdictions as required. 
• Assist with legal operations, documentation management, and process improvements. 

2. India Compliance & Office Support (Secondary Function) 

• Oversee legal and regulatory compliance for the India office 
• Maintain internal controls and ensure the India office adheres to group standards. 
• Support recruitment, supervision, and development of junior legal team members in Indi
