Salary: $72,000–$88,000 annually (DOE and licensure)

Position Summary

The Family Services Therapist is responsible for developing and leading Ava Health's family programming across the continuum of care. This position provides family therapy, couples counseling, psychoeducation, and family systems interventions while collaborating closely with the clinical team to improve outcomes for clients and their loved ones.

This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who enjoys thinking creatively, building new programs, and helping families heal alongside the client. The Family Services Therapist will play a key role in designing innovative family experiences, facilitating multi-family programming, and expanding Ava Health's family services as the organization grows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Provide family therapy and couples counseling for clients and their support systems.

· Assess family dynamics and develop family systems interventions that support treatment goals.

· Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups for clients and their families.

· Lead family support groups that foster education, communication, and connection.

· Design, coordinate, and facilitate multi-day family intensive programs.

· Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing, medical providers, and leadership to integrate family involvement into treatment planning.

· Provide consultation and support to the clinical team regarding family systems, family engagement, and complex family dynamics.

· Help develop and expand Ava Health's family programming through innovative, evidence-informed approaches.

· Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, licensing, and payer requirements.

· Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical consultation, and program development initiatives.

Qualifications

· Active licensure in Colorado as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent independent behavioral health license required.

· Experience providing family therapy and/or couples counseling.

· Strong understanding of family systems theory and evidence-based family interventions.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

· Excellent communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.

· Experience developing groups, educational programming, or clinical curriculum preferred.

· Ability to think creatively and develop innovative programming that engages clients and families.

· Experience working with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.
