Activities Assistant
Grand Villa of Ocala is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Activities Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your recreational skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our senior residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities tailored to seniors' interests and abilities
- Motivate and encourage residents to participate in activities to promote socialization, physical activity, and mental engagement
- Participate actively in activities alongside residents, fostering a fun and inclusive environment
- Help coordinate special events, outings, and themed programs to enhance residents' quality of life
- Monitor residents' participation and provide feedback to ensure activities meet their needs and preferences
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment during all activities
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in recreational programming, activities coordination, or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage seniors in a variety of activities
- Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents' needs and feedback
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and ability to promote a safe environment
