Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Apply Guy ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use https://applyguy.ai and our job-search and application services (the "Service").

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and, when you use Google Sign-In, the basic identity information Google provides with your permission, such as your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image.
• Candidate information: resume files and the profile details you provide, including contact, work history, education, skills, work authorization, preferences, and optional demographic answers.
• Application activity: jobs you view, save, queue, or apply to; answers generated or supplied for application forms; submission results; and related status data.
• Optional inbox integration: if you configure email access for application codes or responses, we store the credentials you provide in encrypted form and process only the messages needed for those features.
• Technical information: device and browser information, IP address, request logs, security events, and usage data needed to operate and protect the Service.

Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In is used only to authenticate your account. It requests the OpenID, email, and basic profile scopes. Signing in with Google does not give Apply Guy access to your Gmail inbox, contacts, files, or calendar. Any optional inbox integration is a separate feature that you configure independently.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create and secure your account;
• find jobs and prepare, submit, and track applications at your direction;
• generate answers and tailor application materials based on your profile;
• provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve the Service; and
• comply with law and enforce our Terms.

How information is shared

We send application information to employers and their recruiting platforms when you direct us to submit an application. We also use infrastructure, storage, security, AI, captcha, analytics, and other service providers that process information for us under contractual or operational restrictions. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

Some features send the minimum relevant profile and application-question context to AI service providers to draft answers or materials. Review generated content before relying on it. We do not use Google Sign-In data to train general-purpose AI models.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may delete a non-administrative account from Settings. Deletion removes the account and user-owned application data from active systems, subject to limited retention in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or records required by law.

Security

We use safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport, restricted access, hashed authentication tokens, and encryption for stored integration credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can update your profile, remove your resume, disconnect optional integrations, export application information, revoke sessions, or delete your account through the Service. You may also revoke Apply Guy's Google access from your Google Account settings.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the Service.
