IT Support Manager
BAC Group is seeking to employ an IT Support Manager who
will oversee the company’s information technology operations, ensuring the security, reliability and performance of all IT systems and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for network infrastructure, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 administration, IT projects, vendor management and end user support while driving continuous improvement and supporting the Company’s objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network & Infrastructure Management
- Ensure the stable operation and management of the Company's network and databases, including firewalls, switches, servers, routers, and wireless access points
- Manage email systems, SPAM filtering services, and website security
- Coordinate with third-party providers to ensure network products and services remain secure
- Maintain and support systems infrastructure, including phone, data, voice, video, and remote network environments
- Schedule and implement upgrades, run functionality tests, and resolve issues identified during testing
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to support current and future business needs
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Stay current on new intrusion methods and develop protection plans
- Continuously monitor for attacks and intrusions to detect and patch known loopholes and vulnerabilities
- Administer endpoint protection (e.g., Microsoft Defender), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and vulnerability/patch management programs across all systems
- Provide routine reports on security notifications and breaches
- Provide routine updates and reminders on cyber security awareness and education materials to users
- Establish appropriate standards for remote work security, identify risks, and ensure remote access infrastructure is effectively maintained and administered
IT Policy & Governance
- Create, implement, and manage all IT policies across all information systems in the company
- Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements through the implementation of appropriate controls and policies
- Develop, maintain, and regularly test backup, disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to ensure critical business systems remain available
- Maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, disaster recovery plans, standard operating procedures, asset records and system configuration documentation
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage relationships and contracts with telecommunications, internet service and mobile device providers
- Manage software license tracking and renewals
- Manage relationships with software vendors and managed service providers, ensuring service levels and contractual obligations are met
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors and mobile devices, along with replacement planning and warranty tracking
End User & Technical Support
- Provide desktop and applications support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and administer user accounts, provisioning and access
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to maximize productivity across all networks
General Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including maintaining communication access while out of office
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits and technology improvements
- Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, coordinating resources and timelines to minimize disruption to business operations
- Contribute to development of the organization's IT roadmap, in partnership with the CFO, to support business growth, operational efficiency and cybersecurity objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certification in CompTIA Network+ and CISM or equivalent required
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified (Microsoft 365 / Azure), Cisco CCNA and/or CISSP
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or System Administrator
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, user provisioning, licensing, and multi-factor authentication (MFA), required
- Experience supporting ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or equivalent enterprise business applications preferred
- Experience with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems, Cisco switches, routers and firewall
- Demonstrated leadership ability, both technical and personal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write procedural documentation
- Customer-focused attitude
- Ability to support various API implementations and tools
- Ability to support SaaS solutions and coordinate with vendors as necessary
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from planning through implementation
